Financial Consideration:

EOF applicants must meet the income eligibility guidelines for household income based on size as determined yearly by the NJ Commission on Higher Education.

 State Eligibility Criteria:

  • EOF applicant must be a New Jersey resident for 12 consecutive months prior to enrollment

  • Intend to enroll full-time (at least 12-credits per semester)

  • Attended a high school and/or live in targeted socio-economic areas as identified by the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education

  • Must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application

  • Gross income and assets must fall within the income eligibility scale 

Academic Considerations

First-Time Freshmen:

  • Average Applicant Cumulative GPA: 2.5

  • SAT/ACT Optional

Transfer Applicants:

  • Must be accepted into the university by the Office of Admissions. 

First-Time Freshmen Criteria for Admission

The decision to offer admission acceptance is based on a number of factors. These include the quality of an applicant’s grades, types of courses taken, letters of recommendation, extracurricular/community involvement, and financial eligibility requirements as indicated by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education of New Jersey.

Step 1: Complete a WPUNJ On-line Application

           1. Submit your Official Transcripts with a Cumulative GPA

Step 2: Complete Section I of the EOF 2022-2023 Application (On-line)

                NOTE: Available under “My Application Status” once student has applied to WPUNJ

Step 3: Complete and Submit Section II of the EOF 2022-2023 Application

               NOTE: Section II is emailed to EOF applicant after the completion of Step 2

Step 4: Submit Supporting and Financial Documents:

           1. Submit Most Recent Report Card (to include Marking Period One of Senior Year)

Please Note: 

  • All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) for each academic year by March 1st.

    • The FAFSA can be obtained online at:  https://fafsa.ed.gov.

    • We recommend that you use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. It allows students and parents to access the IRS tax return information needed and transfer the data directly into their FAFSA. It’s the best way of ensuring that your FAFSA has accurate tax information.

  • All students must complete their "To-Do list" from the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).

  • If you do not adhere to the deadline, you may be ineligible for available federal and/or state financial aid programs for the 2022-2023 academic year. 

Applicants must submit supporting and financial documents as indicated in Step 4.

Transfer Criteria for Admission

The decision to offer transfer into our WPUNJ EOF program is based on a number of factors. These include meeting a minimum academic standard (2.0 grade point average), meeting state financial eligibility requirements as indicated by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education of New Jersey, and providing an EOF transfer Sector form that attests to participation in previous New Jersey College or University EOF program.

Step 1: Complete a WPUNJ On-line Application

  1.     Submit copy of transcript

 Step 2: Complete Section I of the EOF 2022-2023 Application (On-line)

                NOTE: Available under “My Application Status” once student has applied to WPUNJ

               (Select "EOF Transfer" as Enrollment type)    

 Step 3: Complete and Submit Section II of the EOF 2022-2023 Application

                 NOTE: Section II is emailed to EOF applicant after the completion of Step 2

Step 4: Submit Supporting and Financial Documents:

Step 5: Submit EOF Transfer Sector form from previously attended NJ College/University EOF program office indicating NJ state EOF funding status and semesters enrolled.

Please Note: *If you were not EOF at another NJ participating college/university, you can still apply but cannot be prioritized based on NJ EOF state policies and procedures.

  • All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) for each academic year by March 1st, and add WPUNJ code to ensure your aid eligibility can be accessed by the WPUNJ Financial Aid department for transferring financial aid packaging purposes.
