Employee Paid Coverage in the SHBP for Part Time Employees (Chapter 172, P.L. 2003) Chapter 172, P.L. 2003 provides certain part-time employees and part-time faculty members eligibility for enrollment for coverage in the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP), provided that the part-time employee is a member of a State-administered retirement system. The employee can only enroll in a Medical Plan and the Employee Prescription Drug Plan. If an employee elects to enroll they must pay the full cost of the coverage. There are no dental plans available to part time employees.
