The EAP is a service for William Paterson University faculty and staff and their household members. The EAP offers confidential short term counseling and referral for problems ranging from work-related concerns to personal difficulties that affect an individual's everyday life. Jointly administered by the BSS and the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Assists blind or visually impaired elderly residents in maintaining independence. Services include outreach, case management, I & R, vision screening, examination by an ophthalmologist, vision aids and devices orientation, mobility training, home instruction in personal care and activities of daily living, restoration surgery (cataract removal), lens implants, volunteer companions, self-help support groups, community services advocacy, and recreation services.
