INFORMATION FOR
The Garden State LSAMP is designed to increase the number of professionals from minority groups that are traditionally underrepresented in non-medical STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields.
GS-LSAMP is an NSF-funded program that provides academic support and specialized advising for students from historically underrepresented groups who wish to enter non-medical STEM professions. William PatersonUniversity is one of nine GS-LSAMP members.

First team consisted of 3 GS-LSAMP students: Samantha Fernandez, Jennipher Gomez and Jeanette Hudak and THEY PLACED 2nd! The title of their presentation was: Entomophagy as a Solution to Food Insecurity. All members received a monetary award.
Second team consisted of 5 GS-LSAMP students: Tyler Sanchez, Mathew Nieves, Ethan Acosta, Francisco Perez Ramos and Bryan Menendez. This team received an Honorable Mention for their presentation on Composting: The Bane of Food Waste. All members received a monetary award.
