William Paterson University to Host Job Fair and Career Resources Event on Thursday, January 9, 2014

William Paterson University’s Center for Continuing and Professional Education, the Passaic County One-Stop Career Center and additional partners are hosting a Job Fair and Career Resources Event on Thursday, January 9, 2014, (Snow date – Friday, January 10, 2014) from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the University’s 1600 Valley Road building in Wayne. The event is open to the public.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring at least 20 resumes and wear interview attire. Approximately 40 companies from various industries have confirmed their attendance; a list can be viewed at http://www.wpunj.edu/cpe/grants/job-fair.html.

In addition, attendees can participate in four free workshops: “Using Social Media in Your Job Search,” “Resume Writing and Resume Critiquing,” “How to Apply for Government Jobs,” and “Presentation Skills for the Job Market.” A workshop on free training grants for vendors will be held from 8 to 11 a.m.

Partners for this event include:  William Paterson University Center for Continuing and Professional Education, Passaic County One-Stop Career Center, William Paterson University Small Business Development Center, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Workforce Development Board of Passaic County, City of Paterson, Passaic County Community College, Passaic County Department of Human Resources, Passaic County Department of Economic Development, Chambers of Commerce and North Jersey Partners.
