William Paterson now has the second most appearances at the Intercollegiate Bowling National Championships in college bowling history, which includes Division I, II and III schools.

The team competed on March 9 and 10 and finished in fourth place at the East Coast Sectional qualifier tournament. They will join with 15 other men’s programs in the country to compete for a National Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska from April 17 to 20, 2013.

In addition, Paul Garwood, a William Paterson senior, finished in sixth place on the east coast and will compete in the Intercollegiate Singles National Championships in Lincoln Nebraska from April 15 to 16, just prior to the team’s competition. He is one of 24 men from across the country who advanced to the championship round.

“I am thrilled and so proud of this group,” says Greg Hatzisavvas ’08, M.S. ‘12, coach of the Bowling Team. “To have the team and an individual advance in the same year is very impressive.”
