William Paterson University Ice Hockey Team Wins the Super East Collegiate Hockey League Championship The Pioneer Men’s Ice Hockey Team won the 2016 Super East Championship on Sunday, February 21 after defeating NYU 2-1. Captain Kyle Garlasco received the honor of hoisting the SECHL trophy with the rest of his teammates. This championship marks the Pioneers 7th straight league championship appearance under Coach Joe Ballance with the Pioneers winning five championships. The team’s last championship win was in 2013. The Pioneers will head to the national tournament in West Chester, PA from March 18 to March 22. 02/24/16
