Legendary Rock Band Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes to Perform At William Paterson University on March 28

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, the legendary rock band with roots at the Jersey Shore, will take the stage on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at William Paterson University in Wayne. The concert will be held at 8 p.m. at the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus as part of the “WP Presents!” series.

The band has been a New Jersey mainstay since the 1970s when Ocean Grove native Johnny Lyon formed the band with Steve Van Zandt. Formerly the house band at the Stone Pony, the Jukes have shared close ties with Bruce Springsteen, often recording and performing his songs as well as sharing the stage many times. More than 100 musicians have performed with the Jukes including E-Streeters Clarence Clemons, Max Weinberg, Garry Tallent, Patti Scialfa and Soozie Tyrell, and Jon Bon Jovi has modeled his own concert performances on the band.

Now comprised of Glenn Alexander on guitar, Chris Anderson on trumpet, John Conte on bass, John Isley on sax, Jeff Kazee on piano, Neal Pawley on trombone and Tom Seguso on drums, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will bring their legendary New Jersey sound to the stage for an unforgettable performance.

Tickets are $42 for gold circle, $35 for rear orchestra seating/front loge and $30 for rear loge. For additional information or to purchase tickets, please contact William Paterson University’s Shea Center Box Office at boxoffice@wpunj.edu, call 973.720.2371 or visit www.wp-presents.org.
