New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s Stages Festival Presents George Street Playhouse’s “Gabi Goes Green” at William Paterson University on February 27

New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s Stages Festival will present George Street Playhouse’s production of the musical comedy Gabi Goes Green on Saturday, February 27, at 2 p.m. at William Paterson University in Wayne. The performance will take place in the University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

Tickets are available at the Shea Center Box Office in advance at 973.720.2371 or wp-presents.org. Tickets are $10 for adults; admission is free for children under 18.

Gabi Goes Green is an upbeat musical comedy for all ages that discusses the importance of climate change and promotes positive choices for a sustainable future. Gabi, an awkward middle school student armed with clean energy and sustainable choices, fights to end Captain Carbon’s threat to destroy our planet. The production, by Barry Wyner and Daniel Israel, was commissioned by George Street Playhouse through the Victoria J. Mastrobuono New Work Development Program and a grant from Bloomberg and is part of the theater’s Educational Touring Theatre program.
