Meet Our Team

Myranda Louis JeanMyranda Louis Jean (she/her) has been at William Paterson University for 5 years and brings 11+ years of experience within higher education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from Temple University in Philadelphia and her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College in NYC. In her capacity as Director for Student Diversity & Inclusion, Myranda steers and manages projects and initiatives that support retention, student engagement, and equity-minded practices for the Center for Diversity & Inclusion, the Black Cultural Center, and the Center for Latinidad.  Through cross-collaboration efforts, diversity programming, and the mentorship program she will lead efforts with CDI Peer Mentors and CDI Student Ambassadors to expand resources and safe spaces for all students. Myranda is passionate about advocating for students and building great relationships with them. When she is not in the office you can catch her on a plane, as she is a lover of any Caribbean beach!

Denise Ginyard-PottsDenise Ginyard-Potts (she/her) has been a part of WP for almost 10 years. She started her journey on campus assisting and advocating for students at the Counseling, Health & Wellness Center.   As students gravitated towards her friendly and warm personality, she became a “mom away from home” to many.  Denise is enthusiastic about the health and well-being of our students and enjoys supporting them in various capacities. In her role as Program Assistant, Denise provides support for events, supervision to student employees, and administrative oversite of the office’s daily functions at the Black Cultural Center, the Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion, and the Center for Latinidad. She also monitors the Social Justice Leadership Badge Program, which provides students the opportunity to gain diversified leadership skills and qualify for an honors cord during graduation.

Mamadee Keita (he/him/his) is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical and Counseling
Psychology Master’s program at William Paterson University. In addition to his academic
pursuits, he will serve as the Graduate Assistant at the Center for Diversity & Inclusion, where
he will collaborate closely with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Mamadee earned his
Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies from Rutgers
University-Newark. During his undergraduate studies, he focused his research on various forms
of aggression, particularly that perpetrated by law enforcement against marginalized
communities. In his leisure time, Mamadee enjoys reading and gardening!
