TEACH GRANT
The new TEACH Grant program provides up to $4,000.00 per year in grant aid for undergraduates, post-baccalaureate, and graduate study to prepare or help prepare highly qualified teachers in high-need fields. A total of $16,000.00 is available for undergraduate or post-baccalaureate study and a total of $8,000.00 is available for pursuit of a Master's degree. Students incur a service obligation in exchange for the grant: four years of full-time teaching is low-income schools within 8 years after completing the course of study. Students who do not fulfill the teaching obligation must repay the grant funds as unsubsidized Direct Loans.

Robert Noyce Scholarship
https://www.wpunj.edu/cosh/stem4ed/ Students studying to teach science or math who intend to spend at least 2 years teaching in a high need school.  Scholarships have been made available by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Holmes Honors Program
As a William Paterson University Holmes Honors® student, you will become a part of the AACTE Holmes programs.  Originally, AACTE created the Holmes Scholars program for doctoral candidates.  Since its inception, the program has increased the diversity of the candidate pool for faculty positions in colleges of education, with hundreds of alumni now in tenure-track, clinical and leadership positions.  By extending similar support to secondary, bachelor's and master's students, the new Holmes programs will bolster another important candidate pool:  underrepresnted students preparing to enter the PK-12 teacher workforce

Woodrow Wilson New Jersey Teaching Fellowship

The Woodrow Wilson New Jersey Teaching Fellowship (WWNJTF) seeks to attract talented, committed individuals with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) backgrounds—including current undergraduates, recent college graduates, mid-career professionals, and retirees—into teaching in high-need secondary schools.  Applicants apply online through the Woodrow Wilson National Foundation.

New Jersey National History Day
New Jersey National History Day funding provides support for all aspects of this statewide program that encourages high school and middle school students to undertake original research projects and then present their findings through a poster exhibit, performance or media-based presentation. Winners of the statewide contest at William Paterson University attend the National History Day event at the University of Maryland.
