WP Music Department Outreach enriches and expands opportunities for music education to the expanded William Paterson University community including WP Music Students, William Paterson University, and the North Jersey region. To those ends, we run three programs: the Music Mentorsprogram, which provides virtual music instruction to outstanding high school students from our partner schools and professional opportunities for university music students; the Summer Chamber Music Camp, which provides chamber music opportunities for outstanding high school students from our partner schools and professional opportunities for university music students; and the annual Arts Educator Professional Development Retreat, which provides high-level specialized professional development for arts teachers in North Jersey. With these programs, WP Music Department Outreach exemplifies our commitment to professionalism in performance, teaching, scholarship and creative activity, and community service.
