The Office of Employee Benefits is committed to service excellence in the administration of the University's payroll and employee benefits functions. Our goal is to be a service oriented team providing timely, accurate and accessible information regarding the programs and services we oversee. These include the State of New Jersey's Health Benefits and Pension/Retirement Tax Shelter Plans as well as our responsibilities as the administrators of the University's payroll functions.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Tax$ave is a benefit program available under Section 125 of the Federal Internal Revenue Code that allows eligible full time employees to set aside before-tax dollars to pay for certain medical and dental expenses.

Vision Care Plan

The vision care program provides for eligible full-time employees and their eligible dependents to receive up to $45 for eye exams, $80 for prescription single-vision eyeglasses or contact lenses and $90 for prescription progressive/bifocal/trifocal eyeglasses or contact lenses.

EAP starts with all the traditional counseling services designed to address significant life problems and we add Work/Life benefits to address the everyday challenges.

Life Insurance

Group Life Insurance coverage is available to members of the state retirement systems without a medical examination if they are age 60 or younger at the time of their enrollment in the pension plan.
