Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to William Paterson University! You are one step closer to becoming a member of our campus community. Please familiarize yourself with the following steps to complete your enrollment for the upcoming semester.

Please note that you will need your WPUNJ Student ID number to use the online forms as your username - click here to look up your ID.  Your PIN/Password is your date of birth in MMDDYY format (for example, March 17, 1999 would be 031799).

  1. Submit your $125.00 enrollment deposit
    Spring 2017 students: To make your enrollment deposit log into http://wpunj.edu/deposits.  Enter your WPUNJ Student Email (MINUS the @student.wpunj.edu part) and Password (University ID that begins with 855).  You can also send a check or money order to the Undergraduate Admissions Office.  Note that this is a non-refundable, non-transferrable fee.
  2. Complete and Submit your International Undergraduate Student Financial Data Sheet

  3. Apply for on-campus housing
    On-campus housing is guaranteed for international students for the entire period of your enrollment at William Paterson University. Go to www.wpunj.edu/housing. You will be required to submit both a housing contract and $150 housing deposit. Campus housing is guaranteed as long as you submit your contract and deposit by May 1.  Note that this is a non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit.
  4. Get connected
    Activate you WP email account and your WP Connect account. Activate these right away to make sure you’re on track.  Remember that WP will send all important emails to your WP student email address.  Start using your WP Connect portal to access your student records as well as other university resources at http://wpconnect.wpunj.edu/cp/home/loginf
  5. Take your placement exam
    After you pay your $125 enrollment fee you will be contacted by the Office of Testing. A
    ll new students are required to take the University placement test for reading, writing, and mathematics.
    Transfer Students: If you have completed a college-level reading, writing, and/or mathematics course, you may be exempt. This will be determined by our Office of Testing who will contact you upon receipt of your enrollment deposit.
  6. Submit required Immunization documentation by deadline
    The required form can be accessed at www.wpunj.edu/healthform.
    Please note:  all immunization records must be submitted in English.
  7. Send college credits.  AP scores must be sent to the University via The College Board.  Official transcripts for dual-credit coursework must be sent from the college which offered the course.  Have these sent as soon as possible.
  8. Be on the lookout for New Student Orientation.
    Once your Enrollment Confirmation is received and you complete your placement exam (if required) you will be invited to sign up for an orientation program. Invitations will be sent beginning in late May. For additional information go to www.wpunj.edu/orientation.   
  9. Submit final high school transcript showing all credits and date of graduation by August 1.
